Acceptable use policy

Every buyer of AEVI Data data agrees to this policy. It is part of every data license agreement, and breaking it ends the license.

You may not use our data to

  1. Make eligibility decisions. Determine or help determine anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, government benefits, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  2. Discriminate. Treat people differently based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, familial status, or any other protected characteristic, including through ad targeting or pricing.
  3. Locate or harm people. Find, track, stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any person, or locate someone who does not want to be found.
  4. Re-identify people. Re-identify, or attempt to re-identify, individuals in aggregated or de-identified data.
  5. Infer sensitive traits. Derive or target health conditions, pregnancy, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, immigration status, or precise location of individuals.
  6. Contact people unlawfully. Call, text, fax, or email anyone without the consent the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, state telemarketing laws, or Do Not Call rules require, or ignore an opt-out.
  7. Transfer data abroad unlawfully. Give access to anyone in, or controlled by an entity in, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, or Venezuela, or otherwise breach U.S. export controls or sanctions.
  8. Target children. Market to or profile anyone under 16.
  9. Resell without permission. Resell, sublicense, or share the data beyond what your data license agreement allows.
  10. Break the law. Use the data for any purpose that violates applicable law, including privacy, consumer protection, and anti-fraud laws.

You must

  • Protect the data with reasonable security and limit access to people who need it for the licensed purpose.
  • Apply any suppression or opt-out updates we send within 10 business days.
  • Delete the data when your license ends, and confirm deletion if we ask.
  • Tell us within 72 hours if you learn of unauthorized access to the data.
  • Cooperate with reasonable requests to confirm that you are following this policy.

Enforcement

We may suspend delivery, terminate a license, and require deletion of the data if we believe this policy has been broken, and we may report unlawful use to the authorities. To report misuse of our data, contact us.
